Hammacher Schlemmer Institute tests the Nutri Source 1000 as Best!
Here's the Summary:
Given the great many juice extractors presently available on the market that do not effectively remove pulp, the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute set about to find one that yielded more juice than pulp and was easy to operate. This juice extractor decisively won the Best rating by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute. Its large feeder accepts nearly all kinds of fruit and vegetable pieces, liquefying them in a matter of seconds. All the units tested were used to make eight various types of fruit and vegetable juices (including apple, pear, grape, carrot, orange and lemon). The Nutri Source was not only the easiest to disassemble and assemble for cleaning, but its 3,600 rpm low-speed induction motor had the quietest operation. To test quality of juice and pulp/ fiber extraction, juices were first tasted for flavor, sweetness and consistency. Next, juice was made from all six machines, poured into cups, labeled, covered and allowed to settle overnight. The pulp to juice ratio was calculated the next day. The Nutri Source produced one of the highest ounces of pure juice to pulp ratio.
